Each EPITA user has two accounts:
- A Microsoft365 account providing access to EPITA mailboxes, Microsoft tools, IONIS Wi-Fi, and other tools managed by the IONIS group IT department;
- A Forge account providing access to certain internal EPITA tools such as the computer rooms, Moodle instances, GitLab, etc.
The passwords for these two accounts are not the same. The Microsoft password is randomly generated by the IONIS IT department, the Forge password is to be set by the user.
The Forge password only needs to be set if you intend to use the computer rooms. Otherwise, it is recommended to simply log in via Microsoft365 when offered on the Forge ID login page.
Loss of Microsoft Password
In case of loss of the Microsoft password, you must go to the Bocal Console and follow the password reset procedure:
https://console.bocal.org/#/recover
Specify the EPITA email address to recover:

Complete the captcha as requested, then select a recovery method (by personal email or by SMS):

After selecting a recovery method, a validation code will be sent via the chosen method. This code may take a few minutes to arrive; do not leave the page and just wait.
Enter the received code. A new randomly generated password will be sent to you via the chosen recovery method.
Loss of Forge Password
As a reminder, this password is only needed to log in to the computer rooms. Otherwise, you can simply log in with Microsoft365 on Forge ID.
In case of loss of your Forge password, follow the password recovery procedure on Forge ID:
https://cri.epita.fr/auth/password/recovery/
Specify your EPITA email address. An email will be sent to you with a recovery link to set a new password.
You can also click the "Instant recover with Microsoft 355" button allowing you to replace this step with a Microsoft SSO login. You can then set a new password.
